Eva was the only witness to the deli shooting but she was also in the ‘shooter’s’ gang. When she got asked what happened, she didn’t know whether to betray her gang and tell the truth, or lie and put an innocent guy in prison just to be ‘loyal’ to the gang. She decided to tell the truth because she didn’t want to put an innocent guy in jail, even if it meant betraying her gang. I think this was the right thing to do because he deserved to go to jail for shooting someone that had done nothing wrong.
