Racism in highscool

Freedom writers brings up many issues but a main one is racism in high schools. This movie exposes how hurtful verbal abuse can be especially when its about skin colour or culture. An example of this was when one of the men with a Mexican background called a dark skinned american man a negro, this should make anyone feel bad for the African american because they shouldn't be labeled as a negro because of his skin colour. This racist act could have resulted in violence which would be horrible, in many schools physical violence is a retaliation from racist comments.
